Welcome to Denman Island. This well kept secret is preserved in a gentler time. Our peaceful community exists within natural abundance. Our population is around 1100 residents.

Tribune Bay and Hornby Island are a lovely easy day trip. Our place is 10 minutes by car to the Hornby Island ferry terminal, or 25 minutes by bike along a gorgeous seaside road. You can bypass the ferry delays if you travel by bicycle. But, if you want relief from the Hornby summer crowds, Denman Island is a perfect addition.

There is room here to breathe, explore and create.

There are plentiful trails to explore through old growth forests, along streams and lakes, seaside bluffs and beaches. Denman has protected 1/4 of the total land mass under various park and conservation designations, more than any other gulf island! Kayak or canoe along coastal to beaches, sandstone shorelines or little islets full of wildflowers and sea lions. In the summer months our kayak rental offers tour in the glowing waters of bioluminescence. Pure magic.

Visit our organic vineyard for wine tasting. Treat yourself to their delicious locally sourced lunch menu while flocks of sheep graze in the surrounding fields.

Shop at our bustling local farmers market on Saturday for the freshest local foods, Jewelry and crafts. Our local farmers have delicious organic produce, frozen soups and sauces, and edible/ medicinal mushrooms at their farm stand (open except on Tuesdays)
